Silk/modal T.shirts:Kain. Suspender tights: Henry Holland. Truth Will Out dress: Alice McCall.
These are my latest acquisitions.
- The dress will be part of my outfit for the up and coming wedding.
- I’ve had my beady eye on these tights for a looooong while and resisted but then I caved in.
- These Kain T.shirts are pricey but they last for ever and they feel soooooo good.
My previous post ‘Here Come the Girls’ (seen HERE) got me thinking a lot about personal style. Some people write fashion and clothes off as frivolous and superficial and that’s great for them but I disagree. Clothes are an expression of ourselves and often the people who look the best are the ones who aren’t wearing what’s ‘fashionable’- they’re the ones wearing what they love and wearing it confidently.

snaps with the henry holland tights, i couldn't resist them either! i've got a couple of pictures of me in them on the second page of my blog 🙂 have you tried them on yet? it might not be the same for you, but for me they are slightly baggy around the ankles :/
the dress looks so pretty, and i love the two shirts as well!
i shall probably sent you a picture later on today, i don't really know which one to chose. i don't feel like i have a specific picture which shows my personal style. anyway, we'll see 🙂

Love the dress and I completely agree with you on your thoughts on fashion, I do politics and I am sick and tired of hearing people saying the two cannot mix and fashion and politics and just two separate worlds with nothing in common. So tiering

I agree. Fashion for me is an art, it is a way of expressing yourself. This quote comes to mind:
"What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, esp today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language."
That shirt looks amazingly cozy. Lately I've been shelling out more money to buy one nice thing rather than ten not so nice things. I went to gap the other day and bought a white teeshirt. My friends made fun of me because it was so "boring" but it's one of the most comfortable things I own now.
hmmm I like what you've said. When I'm in manchester I feel stunted with my fashion because despite the variety of people everyone does end up dressing very samey…! So I love being in London because I feel like I can be ME through what I wear : )

I totally agree with your thoughts on fashion. I work in a lab setting and everything is so serious here.. fashion is one of the few ways I can express myself. I like finding new trends and seeing how I can adapt them to fit my style. I think it's an art to be able to do this 🙂
